T he Shepherd’s Place Children’s Home and Academy is available for school-age children who are in need of care.  We provide a loving environment in which they can stay and get a quality education to help equip them for a bright future.

Our theme at The Shepherd’s Place is “There’s a Better Way.”  In all of life’s challenges there is always hope and a better way forward to be discovered.

about The Shepherd's Place

Located on 165 wooded acres in Monroe, NC

Present campus includes:

  • A 6 bedroom/6.5 bath brick living quarters with a spacious living room, playroom, and commercial kitchen.
  • A 3 bedroom/2.5 bath brick farmhouse
  • A barn
  • 2 pastures
  • 1 pond and multiple creeks

Next building projects:

  • Remodeling of living quarters and farmhouse
  • Construction of a 2-story administration and education building with a connecting courtyard to the existing living quarters
    • Architectural drawings on hand
    • Water and sewer installed
